I am positive, enthusiastic and I’m told I’m always smiling (see cheesy grin above!).
I like to push my clients out of their comfort zones in order to help them achieve their goals but I also like to ensure we have fun along the way. If you don’t like a good laugh every now and again I’m probably not the person for you!

Like many people I went through formal education without any clear idea about what to do with my life. I chose a random degree in Food Manufacture followed by a period of voluntary work in a hostel for young homeless people in London.
After a year of unemployment and well over 200 job applications, I was finally employed as a Food Technician in local government. Yes, I was that evil person in the white coat who inspected food premises!
I had great colleagues and developed some skills which I still use now, but the job gave me no satisfaction and I had no desire to continue in this field.
I recalled the period when I worked alongside a fantastic Careers Adviser in the London hostel and this prompted me to research this career option further.
I qualified as a Careers Adviser in 2001 and worked with pupils in schools and colleges in West Sussex. I loved being able to provide the advice and guidance that I never received when I was at school.
During that time I also came across and worked with so many adults who told me that they were confused and disillusioned at work and wanted to change careers. My empathy for their career story compelled me to launch KickStart Careers Coaching.
Having gone through long periods of confusion, unemployment and then plucking up the courage to change career at the age of 30 (with a mortgage and a 1 year old baby) I can totally identify with many clients I now work with.
You could be one of them. So please sign up at the top right or .
